We’ve just returned from a lovely week’s holiday at Haven Weymouth Bay in Dorset. This was our first trip to a Haven resort and we have to say that we were very very impressed. We had a lovely two-bedroom cottage right at the very top of a hill overlooking beautiful countryside right down to the sea. The accommodation had everything we needed, the bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and we had a great little lounge to relax in as well as a good kitchen and dining area.
Activity wise there is so much to do and there is something for everyone regardless of age. Prior to booking our stay we knew our main challenge would be keeping Archie occupied and boy did this place tick all the boxes, he absolutely loved it! On site there is a great size indoor swimming pool which goes outside into a lazy river. There’s a playground with swings and slides also.
Outside of the resort it is just a short drive to the nearest beach and there is also a Sealife Centre, a miniature railway and sand sculpture exhibitions.
We were also extremely lucky that the weather was great, clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine and despite it being September it was lovely and warm.
