Apply For A Music Show

The X Factor is currently running, The Voice is sure to be back now that ITV have bought it. So, there are already two options on how you can become a star. There’s also BGT, and I’m sure another talent competition will be announced sooner or later. That’s more than enough opportunities for you to get where you want to be. However, you may find that it’s a little bit more difficult to get on screen than you previously anticipated. The filmed auditions aren’t actually the first line you’ll need to cross to get onto the X factor. There are other auditions before that, held in arenas across the UK. You won’t meet the actual judges and instead, will be ushered into a plastic booth. Here, you’ll meet with a supposed high up producer of the show who will listen to you sing. They’ll decide whether you get through or not. It’s important to pull out all the stops here and make yourself memorable, even if it’s for the wrong reason. If you’re boring or you’re just not special enough, you won’t get on.

Promote Yourself

Of course, you can always forget about TV tournaments and instead promote yourself. You can do this by creating a brand online that you can sell. I suggest you get started by setting up a music channel. Here you’ll be able to release videos of your singing and gain attention from an online audience. If you can do that, you should find that interest in who you are starts to build. Eventually, you might start to get interest from actual producers. Of course, if you want to do that, you’ll need to make your brand as large as possible. This means you might need to start by selling your own music first. Using a company like Nationwide Disc, you can create professional looking merchandise to sell to fans.

You Need A USP

You may think you sing like an angel, you probably can but that’s not enough. You’re also going to need something that makes you unique. This could be your style, the songs that you may write yourself or anything else. Without this, you will struggle to find any attention in the music industry. There are simply too many people who are fantastic at singing and not even remotely marketable. You can not allow yourself to fall into this particular category. Fame comes with a price and you may have to give up your dignity, integrity or even personality to make this particular dream come true.

I wish you the best of luck on your road to becoming a star in the music business.
